Two Flowers Spoke Today

Posted by Kim on Sunday Apr 11, 2010 Under Photoetry

Two flowers spoke today just outside my window
They whispered greetings sweet and low

Blooming so very quietly
On a tiny bush beneath a tree

To get a closer look I bent down on my knee
Two fuchsia blooms trumpeting – It’s spring!

Planted 5 years ago and it never spoke a word
Finally, this spring day, it’s voice could be heard

Dancing together as the wind softly blew
A bloom for Dad, a bloom for Tru

I have to wonder in my heart why this bush that never grew
Now, this first spring for Tru, unfurls it’s brilliant hue

Two buds jumping from the stem
That’s nature’s way of saying Dad is looking over him

Two flowers spoke today just outside my window
Silky petals waving a cheery spring hello
