First: Wooden Train

Posted by Kim on Sunday Feb 20, 2011 Under First

It came today…your wooden train set.

And boy did your eyes get big and your mouth made a perfect “o” shape.  OOOhhh you said and that was it…you were in love.  You hooked the tracks together and drove that train as if you’d had it forever.  Chug-a-chug-a-choo-choo!

Such serious play for a 21-month old boy.  So intent on every move.  Every turn.  You were in control and you like it that way.  You love being the boss.  You know, the guy in the driver’s seat.  Chug-a-chug-a-choo-choo!

Round and round it goes.  As long as you want it to.  Until you want it off the tracks.  Until you want it to run into the buildings.  Until you want to scatter the pieces everywhere.  That’s OK too.  You are in charge.  You are the conductor.  Then we put it all back together.  Chug-a-chug-a-choo-choo!
