Tru just loves to have fun. He has a spirit that’s unparalleled to any other. He wakes up ready to play. Will put off naps to play. And has even been caught laughing in his sleep. This one little boy knows how to have fun.

How awesome it is to watch Tru play. To hear him laugh. To see the twinkle in his eyes. Every time this happens I feel like I just won an Oscar. It’s like a once-in-a-lifetime feeling. Nothing matches it, or even comes close…until it happens again! But each time feels like the best ever.

It’s an incredible feeling to see Tru happy and yet it takes the smallest thing. A funny face. A strange sound….a balloon. These things are so easy for me, but the reward I get is priceless. What Tru gives me is so much more than what I give him. The giggle alone is worth a million dollars and every time I hear it, I’m cashing in.

He’s running around being a boy. Doing boy things. Having a good time. That’s what he does. It comes natural for him. He doesn’t have to think about it. He creates fun in all his brilliance. And I’m the one…I’m the one whose life is made better. The one whose days are more relevant. The one whose life has more purpose and significance. I’m the one whose found happiness. And it’s because of this one little boy.

Who knew this one little boy could have such a profound effect? Well, when that one little boy is Tru, it’s a no-brainer. He changed me the instant he was born and he continues to change me each day we’re together. I’ve learned more from Tru in a few short months than in all the years I’ve lived. I like to think as a baby, he needs me…but in reality…I need him. I’m the one holding on so tight. He does much more to take care of me, to nurture my soul. This one little boy is my angel.
